We are now able to provide a aerial photography service using a Unmanned aerial system (UAS). This system allows us to remotely take top down photographs, oblique photographs, and video of archaeological sites. Usually the photos will be taken with a 18mp digital SLR camera but a number of camera types can be quickly fitted to suit your needs. The feed from the camera can be seen in real time from the ground so we can be sure to get the shot you want. Using our survey gear we are also able to tie photographs into site plans.

Keep in mind that while we are authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority to operate a UAS we must follow airspace regulations so we can't fly everywhere and every day. Weather conditions must also be taken into account and depending on location a few days notice may be needed to lodge a flight plan with the nearest control tower
